Myofascial Release
John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach is a highly effective bodywork technique designed to relieve tension and pain through the gentle application of sustained pressure and movement into the fascial system, allowing for the release of fascial restrictions. Fascia is a tough connective tissue resembling a three dimensional web that spreads throughout the body. It supports and covers all muscles, bones, organs, nerves and vessels to a cellular level. When the fascial system becomes restricted, oftentimes due to stress, trauma, overuse, chronic inflammation or poor posture, it can cause pain and limited mobility. By releasing tightened fascia, flexibility, balance, and relaxation can occur. Clients often report experiencing a feeling of lightness and increased range of motion after a session.

Indications are for any type of trauma or injury to the body or head or moderate to severe nervous stress. The client remains fully clothed for this therapy.
